Owls and Crows..................Oh My!

So today my mom, my little brother and I were out on a hike that turned into an owl chase. I was armed with my camera and I was looking to get a great owl picture. I had heard them hooting before we started this great journey.

But as we approached, the owl started calling even more.  Once we finally saw the owl, we learned why.

I know that crows often times pester owls but I did not know that this many crows would gang up on an owl at once. This was not a short chase. This chase went on for hours and covered a lot of land.

Crows are not considered a predator to the Barred Owl though, just a pesky neighbor. :)

This I Believe................

I would like to share a project that I did for school in Fall 2010. I was asked to compose a recording about how I felt about teaching and teaching diverse learners in my future classroom. I am very proud of my final product and would like to someday submit it to the "This I Believe" contest, once I get it PERFECT!
